Our software provides a digital platform to practise phonics, spelling, punctuation, sentence and reading skills at a level appropriate to a pupil’s own ability. Most primary schools begin to use IDL with Year 2 SEN pupils, and frequently those who haven’t met the ‘Year 1 Phonics Screening Test’ criteria, generally reporting significant progress within a very short space of time. Some even use it as a school wide literacy improvement tool. Our software was originally designed to help dyslexic pupils improve their reading and spelling skills, but many of our schools report success with EAL and autistic learners, and those with Meares Irlen Syndrome. ![]() IDL Literacy is mainly used by primary schools.
